The Eclectic Company Theatre presents
SOMETHING SOMETHING NEW VAGINA
By Rebecca Kling
Produced by Natasha Troop
A solo performance about loving one’s self and one’s body. It’s also about a vagina:
Rebecca Kling’s fancy new vagina. Kling was never one to call it clits and is ready to
tackle issues of identity without ovary-acting.
Rebecca Kling is a transgender artist and educator who explores the performance
of gender and identity through solo performances and educational workshops. Her
performances incorporate conversational storytelling, personal narrative, humor, and
more. Kling takes the position that sharing accessible queer narrative with a wide
audience is a form of activism, and that understanding combats bigotry. For more

“Kling is a gifted raconteur, possessing an easy listening style, keen eye for details,
and a knack for description, but she also has a biting, infectious sense of humor that
is no better on display than when she demonstrates the new process of peeing, or talks
about the world of feminine sanitary products.” Lovell Estell III, Stage Raw
“Kling is a charming presence, and she explains her struggle to own her gender identity
compellingly.” Kris Vire, Timeout Chicago
